Being a loser

Here is the result of something I’ve been working on in snippets over the last three days. THREE days ….. and that’s IT?? I had this little project I wanted to work on, which vaguely comprised elephants, bright colours, kids stuff etc. And I had a vision in my head of how it was supposed to look. Only it looks nothing like said vision. Sometimes this is good thing. Other times not. This is an occasion for the latter. I don’t hate it or anything, it’s just ….. well ….. it does nothing for me. Nothing. It’s boring. It has no life.

I have abandoned it.

Problem is, I don’t like losing (unless sport is involved … then it’s just plain inevitable). I don’t want these lifeless elephants to beat me. So I am going to revisit them. I’m not sure how yet, but I shall.

One thing I’ve discovered over the last few blogs, is that I love playing around with textural stuff. So perhaps I shall use it as a starting point for the big revisit. These are some examples of textures I created using grass, pasta and a soap dispenser, among other things.

If nothing else, connecting with my inner four year old is fabulously liberating. I highly recommend it.
